Dr. Bill Berk
Dr. Bill Berk is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada. His family is still there, and his father has lived in Las Vegas for so long that he remembers when there were two paved roads in the city. The Berks travel there often to see family, but Dr. Bill fell in love with Oregon (and with Dr. Anne) when he moved here to attend Pacific University, and decided to make it his home.
Dr. Bill received his Bachelor of Science in Visual Science and his Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University. He is a member of the Portland Metropolitan Optometric Society, Oregon Optometric Physicians Association, and the American Optometric Association.
He loves music, and plays the guitar and enjoys choral singing. He golfs and skis when he gets the chance, and loves to travel. Dr. Bill has a love/hate relationship with computers, but he is very talented with electronics and likes to make things work. He is very good at it, too!
Dr. Bill is also a talented photographer, whose work is featured in our offices.

Dr. Anne Berk has lived in the Portland area since childhood, and is a graduate of Milwaukie High School. She is a trained soprano, who still enjoys choral singing. A Master Knitter, her book "Shibui Argyle" was published in 2010. Interweave Press will be releasing her instructional DVD "Inside Intarsia" in Sept. 2010. Here in the office, if you see Dr. Anne or Dr. Bill wearing a knitted garment, the chances are good that she made it. She is also a distance runner, who ran the Boston Marathon in 2008 and 2010.
Dr. Anne attended Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Natural Science. She went on to attend Pacific University, also in Oregon, achieving a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science and going on to get her Doctor of Optometry in 1985.
Dr. Anne is a member of Portland Metropolitan Optometric Society, Oregon Optometric Physicians Association, and the American Optometric Association. She was voted the Young Optometrist of the Year for 1990, and received the President’s Award in 1996 from the Oregon Optometric Association.
